School of Seven Bells (SVIIB), now a duo after one of the twins, Claudia, left the band, are to release their third album on the 28th of this month. But if you want to get your fix of the excellent Ghostory before then, check it out below! The album is energetic, awash with textures and big [...]
You may remember us giving big love to Yeti Lane track Lonesome George a while back. Since then the Parisian outfit have released their eponymous first album and now are giving us a peek at their second offering The Echo Show on The Drone.
This week’s chilled Sunday Supp is from one of my favourite bands, Camera Obscura. Glasgow’s lovelorn melody makers, with the emotive voice of Tracyanne Campbell up front.
It’s February 14th, Valentine’s Day. History tells us that on this day sometime in the middle ages some dude called Chaucer got his burd a bunch of flowers and said to her ‘Hey doll face, I got you these, how about a shift’? Since then, every 14th Feb people have done something similarly romantic. But to break with icky tradition, here’s a band called Exlovers with their version of Chris Issak’s Wicked Game. This cheery and jangly tune finally has the bright visuals to match it, along with three dancing white sheet ghosts! Enjoy!
Her debut album King Con is set for release March 5th 2012.
One of the best tunes I’ve heard this year! Well, as 2012 is less than 2 weeks old that’s not saying much, but this tune ‘Come Save Me‘ by former Lost Valentino, Jagwar Ma is pleasing me no end. It’s starts with a Phil Spector-ish wall of sound drumbeat reminiscent of The Ronettes, Be my [...]
