Alex Winston is responsible for the second glorious cover version to feature on this blog over the last few weeks. First there was Austra with their take on Roy Orbison’s ‘Crying’, now Alex Winston gives The Black Keys’ song ‘Everlasting Light’ her signature pop twinge.
Alex Winston is one of the artists I’m most excited about for 2012. She’s released a steady stream to stick in your head tunes over the course of this year, and has been featured on here numerous times. Her debut full length is scheduled to be released on March 5 2012. It can’t come soon enough. Expect big things.
