Occasionally on my recent travels, but all too seldomly, I would converse with a fellow traveler about music and they would have something more to offer than “did you know Rihanna’s real name is Robyn Fenty”.
Through one of the more productive chats I was introduced to this band, Isbells from Belgium. A harmony rich folkie troop steered by singer songwriter Gaëtan Vandewoude and his reflective lyrics. Isbells have made a real impact in the like of Belgium, Netherlands and France but as yet we’ve heard little of them on our side of the crumbling empire that is Europe. So give this chilled Sunday Supplement a listen and if you like it go check out the rest of the self-titled album.
