Balam Acab is a serious favorite of mine right now. I went out and bought his debut Wander/Wonder after Active Child raved about him (his track ‘Except’ was our Sunday Supplement two weeks ago).
He’s just released a free download of his remix Lana Del Rey’s ‘Video Games’. While the original has Lana Del Rey’s signature vintage Hollywood vibe, Acab’s remix takes samples from her vocals for the intro to the song and turns it into an atmospheric wonder. This song never gets old, and the remix makes it all the more intriguing.
