Dominant Legs are a band that I previously put on my ‘to write about’ list last summer, but somehow that never happened. Seeing a tumblr post today from Hype Machine reminded me of them, and I promptly went back and revisited their track Clawing Out At The Walls, my perfect hangover cure, taken from their EP Young at Love and Life.
This is classic delicate & nostalgic indie pop. With the boy / girl vocals, buzz band of the moment Cults may spring to mind as a comparison. But Ryan Lynch (who has an association with the band Girls) and Hannah Hunt have been at it much longer. Their early track Clawing Out At The Walls is featured below, but for something for a bit newer take a listen to their debut album Invitation, which is currently streaming over on Hypem here.
