Saturday’s line-up is pretty killer. The main stage seems to have it locked down, if you don’t fancy moving around between stages the last four acts of the day on the main stage are gold (James Blake, Lykke Li, Arcade Fire & The Chemical Brothers), that said there’s still lots more to see, here’s our picks:
Nightbox – Cosby Stage @ 12.15pm
Nightbox are an Irish band currently based out of Toronto, who are performing their debut irish shows over the next few weeks. We previously featured them for Weekend Tunage. I caught the guys live here in Toronto back in June – indie dance tunes and a performance full of energy. Theres no Two Door on this years bill, these guys will fix the problem.
Adebisi Shank – Cosby Stage @ 3.15pm
Adebisi Shank are a band that I’ve only recently gotten into. Mostly instrumental, but they damn well hold your attention. A band to kick off your festival day.
Lykke Li – Main Stage @ 8.15pm
Wounded Rhymes is a perfect example of second album done extremely well. Her live show is the natural extension of this, don’t expect all smiles – it’s a pretty sombre affair, but captiaviting all the same. You can count on Lykke Li to make your heart skip a beat.
Arcade Fire / The Chemical Brothers – Main Stage @ 10pm / 12.30am
Arcade Fire are back in Stradbally after a long absence, and I’ve no doubt it’ll be a triumphant return. The Chemical Brothers appear straight after them on the main stage, it’s a no brainer to stick around for some dancing.
