Beautiful Bon Iver B-Side

Bon Iver‘s latest single is Calgary, which is really good (check it out here), but the b-side on the single is this lovely number – I Can’t Make You Love Me/Nick Of Time. Originally recorded by Bonnie Raitt, it was written about a man who drunkenly shot at his girlfriend’s car and when asked in court if he’d learned anything, he replied “I learned, your honour, that you can’t make a woman love you if she don’t” (thanks to the Guardian for that anecdote). The end of the song mixes into another Raitt song, Nick Of Time. Check it out below.
