The Rumours Come True – Foo Fighters To Headline Oxegen 2011

When the announcement that Foo Fighters were to headline this year’s T In The Park, confident rumours began to circulate that this would be mirrored at Oxegen 2011, as has been the case in previous years. Now we know that this is definitely the case.

Foo Fighters are the first headline act to be announced for Oxegen 2011, returning from a hiatus where some members of the band have been doing some solo work, most notably Grohl working with Them Crooked Vultures. The band also have a new album out in 2011, so expect plenty of new tracks in Punchestown.

Oxegen 2011 will be a 4-day event again this year, running from Thursday 7th to Sunday 10th July 2011. There’s also a continuation of the 2007 price freeze scheme, saving you €25 on the full ticket price if you buy before 31st December – these early bird tickets go on sale Wednesday. Ticket sales will reopen again in March.
