We have a little habit of posting of videos that take our fancy on The Clink. Most of them are cool music videos, but here is one that is a cool literary video.
Maurice Gee is one of New Zealand’s most distinguished novelists and has previously won the James Tait Black Memorial Prize, one of the oldest and most prestigious book prizes. Going West is one of his works, first published in 1992, and is the featured novel in this viral promotional video for the New Zealand Book Council, released to encourage books and reading.
The film itself features the novel coming to life, as the pop-up scenery follows the narration and takes viewers through a selection of Maurice Gee’s words. Everything in the film was hand-made by producers Colenso BBDO, who also worked with Andersen M Studios. Well worth, I think you’ll agree.

If I rem correctly I came to the conclusion that 99% of music videos are mundane crap, but the select few the make it onto TheClink are the good ones :)
